Victorian period

This period covered years from 1837 and 1901. In this period British Empire was under Queen Victoria. The Queen was known for her luxurious lifestyle and luxurious test which change the world of interior design. In this period, the houses were neatly and properly divided in public and private rooms with proper demarcation. The risen in development of trade, construction and engineering seen this period therefore middle class could also afford the house.

Art Deco

Art Deco was an international design movement which reach its peak in 1920s and 1930s. In this period, people started travelling from one place to another and as a part of modernism tradition style of design was break. Deco had an inherent luxuriousness, which was accentuated by the use of silver, crystal, ivory, jade, and lacquer.

Contemporary style

In Art “Contemporary” term became popular in the 1970s and refers to the design of the present. Contemporary style borrowed some element from modernism and also picked some element from Art Deco, Deconstruction, futurism and more.
